Essay Contest 2023 Results
Contest Rules & Guidelines
This opportunity is open to all students in Pakistan who are in class 7 and 8
1. Teachers: If you make the essay a class assignment, please be sure to set an internal deadline for your students so that you have time to read your students’ essays and submit only the top two essays. (i.e. max 2 essays may be submitted from each school in total)
2. Each student may submit only one entry.
3. All submissions must be students' original work. Entries containing plagiarized material will be disqualified.
4. Essays that are longer than 500 words will be disqualified
5. Essay must be submitted as MS Word files (i.e. in .doc or .docx format). Scanned files, hand written documents, printed hardcopies, JPEG/ PNG image files, PDF files or any other format shall not be accepted.
6. No personally identifying information (name, school name, city, or state) should be included in the body of the essay. Name and class of student should only be mentioned at the end of the essay.
7. Students do not need to include a bibliography.
8. Use only plain text (no images or attachments). Attachments will not be accepted. Do not include URLs (links to websites) in the body of the essay.
9. Communication skills are an important part of being a scientist. Spelling and grammar will be considered in addition to the ideas expressed in the essay.
10. Entries must be submitted by teachers only, not by the students themselves.
11. Violation of rules and regulations shall lead to disqualification.
12. Decision of the judges will be final.
